When a band returns with a new album and it’s self-titled, there has to be a special reason for that…
In the case of REZET it is an exclamation mark.

Labeled by RockHard as “the hottest band from Germany’s chilling North,” REZET have been blazing their own trail since the group’s acclaimed 2010 debut Have Gun, Will Travel – an album that showcased the band’s unique and unmistakable blend of hi-octane riffs, intricate song structures and smart-yet-straightforward lyrics. Bucking trends and pushing boundaries since day one, they obviously weren’t interested in Speed or Thrash Metal purism either – even though that’s where REZET originated in the first place.

Now, 13 years later, having toured various parts of the world including Europe, the US, Russia, and China, and clearly established as one of Germany’s pioneers in the so called “New Wave Of Thrash Metal,” REZET are about to return with their sixth studio album.

REZET founder and mastermind Ricky Wagner (v,g) is backed up by long time friend and drummer Bastian „attt“ Santen since the band’s debut record, and recruited music business veteran Lorenz Kandolf of TRAITOR on bass and guitar wizard Nikolay Atanasov, formerly known of AGENT STEEL.

Mixed and mastered once again by their trusted producer Eike Freese (Helloween; Deep Purple; Heaven Shall Burn amm.), the new album strikes back without remorse, combining the ferocious guitar riffs of the band’s early works with the hard-worked maturity and catchiness of the group’s more recent releases.

One of Heavy Metal’s best-known new artists – Pär Olofson – was chosen to create the cover art of REZET’s self-titled album. The band asked him to paint an image of new hope in a dystopian landscape, in a world overshadowed by various crises.

“REZET” was released on August 30th 2024 by Violent Creek Records / Soulfood Distribution and already gained incredible reviews and scores from critics and press internationally.

The band is now booking for a world tour for the following years – the “great reset” has probably never been so close…
